XOXO

February 9, 2016 | Makeup, Product Reviews

xoxo
In this post, I feature a collection of Valentine’s Day inspired makeup from cheek tints to liquid liners. Make sure to read to the end of post for a special surprise! XOXO

Cheeks

Beauty Blender Blush Applicator Sponge is perfect for applying cream blushes. Wet sponge with water and squeeze out excess liquid. Apply Tata Harper Volumizing Cheek Tint in Very Nice, a matte pink, on the apples of the cheeks for a flush of color. Highlight cheekbones with Wander Beauty’s Catch The Light Highlighter in Ivory to boost radiance.

Lips

For the perfect nude lip, try Kosas Weightless Lip Color in Undone, a pinky-brown with a semi-matte finish. Mango and Shea Butters keep lips hydrated and moisturized. Wear alone or top it with NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair, to add a soft pink color.

Looking for a brighter color on the lips? Pixi by Petra Mattelustre Lipstick in Raspberry Crush is your answer. A bright pink-red, that plumps lips and gives long-lasting color. Besame Sweetheart Glaze in Cherry works beautifully to bring out the color of this lipstick. Its sheer formula protects and comforts lips.

Eyes

Too Faced Love Palette is one of the cutest set of eyeshadows I have seen in a while. It comes with 15 colors in shimmer, matte, and pearl. Each shadow has an intense color payoff and can be used for a variety of looks. This palette also includes a full size waterproof black liner and a step-by-step application guide for creating six makeup looks.

Use Luxie Beauty’s Rose Gold Tapered Blending Brush to blend eyeshadows and create precision. Make eyeliner super thin or dramatic and thick with Jouer Kitten Liner. Dot between lashes to make them look fuller. Finish your look with supreme volume eyelashes using Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara. The title says it all.

I never knew you could use a beauty blender to apply cream blush! I always just use my fingertips. The sponges come in two packs – why not? What a great tip!

    XOXO,

Cream blush seems really interesting – do you like it better than compact blush?

I do like it better than compact blush. The creamy consistency blends really well and looks more natural.
