The Hills Are Alive

April 19, 2016 | Hair, Makeup, Renée Loiz Makeup

the hills are alive

I recently had the privilege to work on the Fall/Winter 2017 collection for the sophisticated kid’s clothing line, Noro Paris. Claire Lefort launched Noro Paris in 2007 and is a master at Parisian chic with an extraordinary focus on detail. I was blown away by each piece of clothing! The photoshoot took place in Agoura Hills, CA with one of my favorite photographers, Gretchen Easton. She captured breathtaking images that felt like a stroll in the foothills of the French Pyrenees.

Keep reading to take a peek at the new collection and learn what hair and makeup products I used to create the looks.

For Helena Grace, I groomed her hair with Bumble and Bumble Curl Defining Creme and fluffed it out at the roots to add a bit more volume. I like to keep makeup simple and clean on kid’s shoots and my first step is always prepping the skin with Weleda Calendula Face Cream. To cover any darkness under her eyes, I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. The Ilia Multi-Stick in Sway, a bronzed highlighter, was applied to her cheekbones and RMS Beauty Lip Shine in Sublime was brushed onto lips for a soft fuchsia tint.

On Isabella, I lightly sprayed in Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray. While her hair dried, I moisturized her skin, brushed a bit of Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze onto her cheeks for a natural glow, and applied Herbivore Coco Rose to her lips. The sea salt hair spray left a soft texture to her hair making it easy to do a crown braid and a messy side bun.

A little Bumble and Bumble Thickening Creme for the hair and moisturizer for the face was all Taeho needed and he was ready to go!

I sprayed Amika UnDone Texture Spray all over Lois’ French bob to create a perfect-imperfect texture. For her makeup, I brushed Tata Harper’s Tint in Very Popular onto the apples of her cheeks and to her lips. This soft rose color gave Lois’ skin a natural warm glow.
